Good Morning Our President has dismantled several of prior Administration capricious Executive Orders. Hopefully all will be adopted or incorporated into our Immigration and Nationality Act instead of each administration signing short term executive Orders and then possibly rescinded by the next administration. That said, these steps bring families together, especially Ban Countries families. They were unable to visit and see their parents and children or their immigrant visa... could not be processed until now. Due process has always been the corner stone of our Constitution. Let’s celebrate unity and our humanity today. 1. The Muslim and African Travel Ban has ended. Since 2017, the travel ban has kept apart thousands of immigrant families from 13 countries. The State Department will be developing plans to reconsider visa denials issued under the ban. Reversing this discriminatory ban means families can reunite at long last. 2. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals has been protected and fortified. This executive order calls on the Secretary of Homeland Security and Attorney General to work together to preserve and strengthen the DACA initiative. The need to pass permanent relief for Dreamers and other individuals remains urgent. 3. Immigrants will now be included in the U.S. Census. Trump’s executive order calling on the U.S. Census to exclude undocumented immigrants from the 2020 Census has also been reversed. As a result, states will not lose out on congressional representation and federal funding due to an inaccurate census count. 4.Border wall construction has been halted. Within seven days, all new construction on the border wall will be stopped. This will be followed by a review of construction contracts and the creation of a plan to redirect wall funds. The wall has cost American taxpayers billions of dollars, destroyed wilderness, and driven people seeking asylum to travel across dangerous locations. As an immigration advocates and an attorney representing families, we welcome more human laws, affording everyone due process of law. Good Morning, How beliefs perpetuate themselves? With every words that we use, we have an understanding of the meaning of the words. Each word is used to expre...ss our idea. Our feelings and emotions express our idea or belief. The emotion and feeling behind the word we use defines our preferences. Thus we do not just believe a particular definition to be true but we feel with our emotions to be our truth. It is said by many scientists and scholars that feelings reinforce reality that we perceive and it makes it appear to each eye to be factual or truth and not susceptible to changes. Imagine I use a word that you do not know it’s meaning or definition, your reaction and feeling will be neutral. However, if you had a meaning or a definition for a word (skill through social and cultural teachings or conformity), then you are no longer neutral. Emotion(s) is/are behind each words we use. Each emotion has a frequency and we carry or feed the emotion and it’s frequency recurring with our thought process. When we act based on our beliefs, we experience our reality through glasses reflective of our behavior (pattern of behaviors), and the experiences make up our perspectives. Thus, beliefs can continue to reinforce and perpetuate themselves, often to the exclusion of other, contradictory beliefs. We add value as good or bad and values become judgment. Consumer Alert about Pay Pal New Policy: If like me, you buy items on line and sometimes use your paypal account, be very careful. Paypal recently changed their... policy and if you are subject to fraudulent seller actions, they will not assist consumers. I was purchasing an item and after it took me to paypal website to pay, it did not return me back to the same merchant website. It took me to another Chinese website and seller info became in chinese language. I got suspicious and googled the company and others reported that this company is a scam and warned consumers not to purchase anything from them. I immediately contacted PayPal. I contacted the resolution center via email. My claim was denied within a minute (1 min) of my submission to review the charge. Today I called PayPal. I was on hold to talk to someone for over 1 hr (and the person who answered the phone told me she is the highest authority and there are no supervisors to review). Representative said pay pal recently changed their policy and they are seeing themselves as an on line transaction company (not a credit card company while we can purchase items using their Pay Pal CC). They decline any dispute for fradulant transactions unless a third party hacked your password and signed in! With so many foreign companies scamming consumers by advertising on facebook and google, I suggest not use your pay pal and use a credit card that protects you as a consumer. Not only Pay Pal declines to protect consumers but with their new policy, the company enabling dishonest companies to defraud consumers by offering purchase via Pay Pal. My friend, our only weapon as consumer is our voice and our ability to refuse to do business with such companies. Consumers like us make pay pal the company that it is today and we have the power to refuse to be used as their pawns. We have police force and pay millions to the Department of Homeland Security now what is this foolishness? Neighbors targeting neighbors and to what end? Could or would that Promote more racist actions? Is this another move to create divisiveness? Please contemplate if you want to be a part of a society where your neighbor can enforce law against you. We already have abuse of power by trained officers. What of abuse of power by unlicensed and regular citizens without any accountability? Please spread the word and seek mobilization to bring common sense back into the picture by contacting your elected officials. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency is set to launch a six-week "Citizens Academy" course on immigration enforcement, which will include training for citizens on how to arrest undocumented immigrants.

The policy would disproportionately affect California, which has more students on visas than any other state, Becerra said. International students contributed nearly $41 billion to the national economy in the 2018-19 academic year!!! California filed a law suit seeking injunction.

Another immigration policy in light of Covid. Many schools offer on line teaching now and for their next term. However, in an unprecedented announcement, Immigration announced that foreign students are not permitted to take their full courses on line. Foreign students are targetted and they are set to pay the penalty of either leaving the country or be placed in deportation for not meeting their student visa requirements. I am wondering if these ill informed and misguided advisors to our administration are aware that many schools in this country are able to offer lower tuition to their US citizen students from income generated by foreign nationals tuition. 2/3 of USCIS employees at the Department of Homeland Security will receive furlough notices starting August 1st. We already have months of backlog with Covid interruption and this move will add to much longer delay that inevitably adversely affects families and cause business interruptions. US Citizens will be affected when families cannot join or be process or employees working for foreign national investors lose their jobs when via extensions and visa renewals are not poss...ible during the open window sanctioned by the Government. As a result of administration changes of our immigration system over the past three (3) years, we had extreme delay when we had all USCIS capacity and now this. Writing is on the wall now that once again Immigrants will be used as the scapegoat in upcoming election rhetoric. I am happy to report that another client’s waiver for misrepresentation and expediated deportation was approved by USCIS. It is getting difficult these days but I have not had any denials for almost 20 years filing these waivers. Process has changed over the years but it is still about reading the records, officer’s temperature and submitting a common sense and moving package. I am happy for my client who can join his wife and two small children that he has not seen since their birth. God’s blessings. Now we have to wait for the 6 months administration ban on issuing any and all immigrant visas to immediate family members of a US Citizens is removed. A: The plan is there so as the frequencies. The plan can be changed with high frequencies... Q: How do Free Will work? A: Earth and events are not connected to human free will. Can’t Pay Child and/or Spousal Support Order due to COVID-19 Pandemic? Many lost their jobs or their pay has been reduced significantly as a result of this pandemic. Please know that you can file to modify your support payment in several jurisdictions (not all) at this time, pending a hearing when courts start to operate normally. Check with an attorney for more info. This filing for reduction due to financial hardship, if present, can be addressed. There are provisions in la...w that can set the date to modify your current order to the date of filing. So if one filed such a modification let’s say on March 30th and court does not operate regularly and does not hear the case until July 30th, you can ask to modify the old child support or spousal support order amount, to March 30th date (filing date). In legal terminology, we call this retroactive or retroactivity is preserved. If you read in the news telling you incorrectly that you cannot change such orders, you read an inaccurate information. Again, as long as you file your papers with the court, you can help yourself financially. Unfortunately our court systems is not working on honor system-meaning it is true and believe me. You have to take a proactive step by filing with the court so that our Family Law Codes could apply to your modification request and benefit from the retroactivity provisions (explained above).
