From practicing yoga for about three decades, I know that there were times I practiced because I should or that I pushed myself in my practice to improve. I was trying to prove myself. At some point, I realized I wanted my yoga to be completely for me, for my pleasure, for my health, not for my ego. That was such an important turning point!

Such fine wisdom here about sourcing our identity in our True Nature, and not in the surface of who we are. This is KEY for unwinding low self-esteem!
Accepting our feelings is a huge part of increasing self-esteem. The more we can accept ALL of who we are, the more relaxed and at ease we are within ourselves. Such a worthy undertaking!!
Does this resonate? Many of us are trained to DO something instead of to be wWITH our experience all the way through. Yet it is the being With that is how we learn to embrace ourselves, all the colors of the rainbow.
This movie is definitely worth watching. It looks at our body image issues and how it’s all in our minds! And she is so funny!
This is SO spot on!! Speaks to our low self-esteem issues around beauty, self-consciousness, insecurities. The problem is not loving and liking ourselves. But the media isn't the only source. There are potentially many deeper roots to this.... I very much appreciate his altruistic work, sending messages out we need to hear in a way we CAN hear. Awesome!!
