Imagine living in a state where no one is homeless and everyone can afford housing. Housing California has been working towards this vision by being the voice in the Capitol for underrepresented groups. Their efforts have allowed them to pass impactful policies and propositions. Among the nation’s racial and ethnic groups, Black Americans have the highest rate of homelessness. 54 out of every 10,000 Black people in the United States were homeless during 2018. Today's #nonprofit spotlight goes to HomeFirst Services! They have been serving the Santa Clara Community for 40 years by providing housing services to those in need. Serving more than 5,000 individuals each year is not an easy feat. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!

Despite this pandemic, Mental Health America of Los Angeles has been working harder than ever to provide mental health services to those in need. In March alone, they helped serve more than 6,400 individuals! Check out their page to learn more about their great work.
