Dear Lincoln Fundamental Families, After reading Dr. Lin's message yesterday evening , we know there will be additional questions about the CNUSD instructional program options during the 20-21 school year. You still have time to complete the registration / device needs section in Parent Connect and select or change your selection for an instructional program. The deadline has been extended until 7/19 at 11:59 pm. There are two instructional program options to choose from, ple...ase look closely at them below: 1. Traditional / Remote learning - this instructional program will be based at our school site, Lincoln Fundamental, with our staff. The school site will switch back and forth between traditional and remote learning based on Public Health Orders. We will start the year remotely. 2. Virtual School - this instructional program is a separate instructional program that will not be based at your school site. There is a long term commitment to this program. The soonest you will be able to change from this instructional program is at the end of the trimester grading period based on space availability at your school site. Congratulations to Saijal Patel who is our Lincoln Fundamental Tribute to Education Award Recipient!! Her name will go on our banner in the MPR! Saijal Patel is truly a remarkable student who walks through the classroom door with a smile on her face ready to face the day. Saijal is a GATE student at Lincoln who always gives 110% on every assignment. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, Saijal has maintained a 4.0 GPA at our school. This year she placed first in... our History Day competition, and moved on to the district level. She is a quiet leader, who always knows what’s going on in the classroom, and she always knows when an assignment is due. She is that student that other students look to for help, or they ask her a question about an assignment. Saijal always humbly answers or helps with a sweet smile. Saijal is an empathetic friend, and an amazing daughter and sister. She has taken dance, and earlier this school year she even helped her parents remodel their kitchen in their home. Saijal Patel is beyond deserving of receiving this year’s Tribute to Education Award from Lincoln Fundamental School. See more

You gave those middle schoolers a run for their money! We wanted to especially honor the HIGHLIGHT of the entire night...your BIG heart. Lions, Rudri felt a mistake was made and spoke up on behalf of another competitor! She could have used this to her advantage, but she played fairly and kindly, which absolutely WINS every single time! Mission Completed ...literally! Mrs. Coleman’s 4th graders applied their STEAM skills to social studies - designing and building their own missions - no kits! Our MATH FIELD DAY teams ROARED today and are coming home with TWO trophies Our 6th Graders placed SECOND in the district and our 5th Grade team placed FIRST PLACE What a well deserved honor for these kiddos (and their coaches, Mrs. Irey & Mrs. Kennedy) who have dedicated weeks and weeks to prepare for the competition.
