CMEA-CS Music Educators, CMEA-CS and the CMEA State Board are formally requesting a change to the California Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Industry Guidance: Schools and School-Based Programs. We want to keep you informed and ask for help in our efforts. This guidance is outdated, misinformed, and inequitable. The most recent guidance from the CDE, CMEA, and Colorado Aerosol study is up to date, backed by science and equitable for all students. New CDC guidance a...lso agrees with the CDE, CMEA, and Colorado Aerosol study. We encourage you to share the attached letter with your site administrators and regional health officials.
