Say hello to our newly elected Student Council Officers and Class Reps for the 2020-21 school year.It was wonderful to see so many students campaign for these positions with their hearts filled with a willingness to serve their school and fellow students. After the election results were finalized, the first order of business was to take a Zoom Selfie! #clairbourn #clairbournschool

The Gingerbread Man tradition in Clairbourn School's Kindergarten is normally a tour of school buildings in disguise for young students who need to learn their way around campus. When it is discovered that their just-baked Gingerbread Man has escaped from the oven, they look for him in various buildings and eventually find him, celebrate, and eat him! This year, Kindergarten teachers devised a brilliant way to keep the traditional alive in a remote learning format. Here is a small taste of the multi-day adventure they created which culminated in students finding their very own gingerbread man hiding in their homes ready to eat! http://www.clairbourn.org

"Nothing will work unless you do"- Maya Angelou. Long-time Clairbourn teacher Lola Wallden, with a 36-year career at the school, would agree! She deemed persistence and hard work to be more important and worthy of praise than scholastic success! Today, Clairbourn gives a major end-of-the-year student award in her honor to inspire and encourage the hard-workers. Stay persistent and work hard everyone! "Creating Scholars and Leaders with Heart" #clairbourn

Go Cougars! Today is our first day of school, and we love that our students think it is cool to be an academic achiever and that they encourage each other's interests and talents. Strong peer support is just one of the ways Clairbourn School helps to build enthusiastic life-long learners. We agree with this quote: "The keyif you want to build habits that lastis to join a group where the desired behavior is the normal behavior." James Clear (author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Atomic Habits)

Alumna Tiffany Chang, from Clairbourn’s Class of 2018, sees the opportunities embedded in every crisis. She credits Clairbourn School for the optimistic thoughts behind her award-winning "Leaders of Tomorrow" video that she made for the Center for Future Global Leaders (CFGL) Young Artist Competition. She says, I will always be grateful to Clairbourn as the school has always taught me to look at the positive side of every situation and to stay optimistic even during the most difficult times. I will never forget the important life lessons Clairbourn instilled in me. https://clairbournschool.com/an-important-message-of-pande/

#ClairbournRocks! Help Spread Positivity and Kindness. Painted rocks have become a viral trend because it’s a fun way for families to spread kindness and positivity into their communities. The idea is to paint rocks with inspirational messages or cheerful paintings and hide them in the community for others to find. For the month of September, join us in this activity. Paint a rock with a positive message or cheerful painting and post a picture of it on your social media page with the hashtag #clairbournrocks! Then, leave it somewhere for another person to find and enjoy.
