It may look a little different this year, but we tried to keep the spirit of Nutcracker alive in our ballet classes by working on some of the variations. You should have received an e-mail regarding your parent observation date and time. We have created this schedule to make sure we are following guidelines for social distancing. As Covid cases in Kern County are rising once again and flu season is upon us, we ask that you please keep your dancers home if they show ANY symptoms. There is always the option to Zoom from home. You can contact Kevin or Ann if your child needs to join the class on Zoom. We will get the message to the teacher to make sure they log on to your dancer’s class. All the codes remain the same from when we started the school year. If you haven't paid November tuition, it is now past due. You can contact Kevin with any tuition questions or to pay by phone. We will be closed for Thanksgiving week (November 23rd through November 28th).

Today’s the day! We are hosting a free Bakersfield City Ballet Curbside performance of Alicia Angelini’s Four Strings in the parking lot of Civic Dance Center. Please arrive 15 minutes before showtime and bring a chair. We can’t wait to see you at 3:30pm!

Juniors! Even though it’s a little different this year, we are still planning safe activities and special things to do for our seniors. Don’t be left out! Contact Megan Monroe if you’d like to participate.

Happy November everyone! We will be closed Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day and Monday, November 23rd thru Saturday, November 28th for Thanksgiving week. Tuition is now due for November. You can make tuition payments in person at the front desk or through Venmo.

COSTUME WEEK Beginning Monday, October 26 you may wear a costume to class. This is a lively week at the studio! We always love all the creativity we see from our students and staff in their costume choices. Often there is fun choreography to songs like Thriller. Some things to keep in mind: your costume should be appropriate and comfortable for dancing in, headpieces and masks should not obstruct your vision, and this year we are asking that there not be any gore or too s...cary of costumes because we have to keep in mind we often have much younger students at the studio at the same time as our older students. This would be a great opportunity to make use of those poor Gala costumes that never saw the stage. HALLOWEEN Normally you may note that the studio is closed on Halloween because class times conflict with prime Trick-or-Treating time and Harvest Festivals. This year, however, since it falls on a Saturday, our morning classes will not conflict so we will still be open. We can’t wait to see what costumes our Saturday classes come up with on Halloween!
