For 20 years, Bernadette felt like she was continually drowning. Lost to her addiction, she pushed her 5 children away. She never thought she would live a full and sober life. Today, Bernadette praises God for over a year of sobriety, the longest she's been clean in over 20 years! When she came to CityTeam Renew House of Grace, she immediately felt the love and support around her. In her words, House of Grace gave her "a second chance at life." CityTeam in the Neighborhood gives more to our community than just fresh food! We aim to provide ANY need that will help our community rise. Given the times we are living in, CityTeam has recognized a need. Remote students need access to technology in low-income neighborhoods to attend classes online. We recently had the opportunity to share laptops with students thanks to a generous donation of this critical equipment! CityTeam is so thrilled to announce The Sharks Foundation and SAP have provided us with a $34,000 Community Assist Grant in support of one of our CityTeam In the Neighborhood mobile food pantries. Our partnership kicked off with Sharks Foundation employee volunteers (aka Team Teal) and Sharkie the mascot distributing food to over 200 community members at our Esparanza Middle School drive-thru p...antry.
