CALL FOR ARTISTS! One more week to submit a proposal for the upcoming New Genre Temporary Public Art project happening in Old Town Newhall. santaclaritaarts.com.../callsforentries The City is seeking proposals from professional California Artists to create artwork activations in Old Town Newhall. Selected Artist(s) are asked to create temporary, pop-up, and/or site-specific artworks that focus on creative placemaking. Individual artwork’s budget and location may vary. Artist(s) are encouraged to submit proposals in a variety of different mediums that embrace art as experience and experimental public engagement.

As part of the new C4 project, the W/B right lane on Soledad Canyon Rd WILL BE CLOSED between Sierra Hwy and Solamint Rd from 12/14 to 12/23. The other existing lanes remain open. The closure allows the contractor to complete W/B exclusive right-turn lane improvements.

The City is excited to announce the second Agents of Discovery mission at Rivendale Ranch at Towsley Canyon! Residents are invited to visit Towsley Canyon on January 9th and 10th from 8-12 p.m. to play the FREE mobile game. City staff will be handing out swag in addition to helping users get started.
