You might have seen news stories recently about a water system breach back east, and we recognize that tampering of water systems in places like Oldsmar, Florida might cause concern here in Roseville. Be assured that your suite of utilities, including the water utility for the City of Roseville, takes security very seriously and has invested in technology measures and engineering to uphold the tightest level of security to prevent scenarios like these from happening here. ...While anything could be possible, we are resolute that given our system controls, our trained staff to understand changes in processes, and our evaluation of our protocols through a recent study, that we are prepared for breaches that could come our way. With that said, we have and will always monitor the strength and security daily to prevent such an intrusion from happening. Our goal continues to be the protection and safety of our Roseville community.

Governor Newsom: "We’re seeing stabilization in ICUs & positivity rates. Greater Sacramento is coming out of the Regional Stay-at-Home & going back to purple tier effective today. We must continue to wear a mask & stay home as much as possible. There is a light at the end of this tunnel." With the regional stay-at-home order now lifted in Placer County, purple tier restrictions under the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy remain in effect. Public Health's team of contact tracers is reaching more people who have tested positive for COVID-19 than ever before. And yet, with the dramatic increase in c...ases in recent weeks, it's more difficult to talk to every COVID case. That's where our surveys come into play! If you've tested positive you may receive a brief, confidential survey taking a few minutes to fill it out can help us slow the spread, and speeds up the process for you, your family and your neighbors. We're bringing more tracers onto our team we're proud to have already hired and trained so many people right from our community who were unemployed or underemployed to help in our COVID-19 response. In the meantime, Public Health is prioritizing cases for phone interviews based on risk factors like age or congregate work/living environments. Some things to remember that will help us get in touch with you: Remember to provide your cell phone number and email address when you get tested. If you're waiting on test results and are symptomatic or exposed, you should still be quarantining. Even if you test negative you should still finish out your quarantine period: https://www.placer.ca.gov/DocumentCe//Contact_Guidance_ENG If you test positive, follow isolation guidance: https://www.placer.ca.gov//Vi/45732/Positive_Case-Guidance Sometimes Public Health receives your lab result later than you do. If you haven't yet heard from us and you are worried about your close contacts, get a head start on anonymously informing them by going to https://tellyourcontacts.org/

We are excited that Santa made time to visit Roseville again this year. Actually, he is doing more neighborhood tours than EVER. Santa and his elves won't be visiting families one on one or passing out treats due to public health guidance. Santa also reminds you to only gather with people in your household along the route, wear your mask and get ready for some holiday cheer.
