Fairfield Fire Department Explorer Post 8651

This month Fairfield Fire Explorers are learning the fundamentals of ladders and their placement against buildings.

Last months training was on wildland firefighting. In the picture below Explorers are performing a mobile attack to combat fast moving grass fires. Special thanks to advisors Matt Matteucci(Cal Fire), Garrett Freeman(San Francisco Fire Department) and Matt Clarine ( El Cerrito Fire Department) for volunteering their time teaching the Explorers.

Three of Fairfield Fire Explorers participated in a week long state wide fire academy. They were accompanied by advisors from the Fairfield Fire Department, who helped teach at the academy.
