The victims have received phone calls from law enforcement agencies, stating the victim has an arrest warrant or their relative is in jail. The victim is asked to purchase thousands of dollars’ worth of gift cards to resolve the issue, and they are ultimately scammed out of their money. In these type of scams, victims are convinced they have to pay with gift cards. The victim is instructed to go to a retail outlet, purchase gift cards, and provide the scammer with the PIN numbers on the cards. Gift cards are for gifts, not payments. If someone tells you to make a payment with a gift card, hang up it’s a scam. ______ Tarjetas de regalo sigue siendo el método favorito de los estafadores El departamento de policía de Rohnert Park ha recibido varios reportes de víctimas de fraude. As part of Sonoma County’s efforts to make testing available to more residents, the County partnered with Curative to administer the neighborhood pop-up testing. All day testing on Fridays begins this week at the Burton Avenue Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This all-day Friday testing will be replacing the current Friday morning and Monday afternoon testing.... Residents will continue to access appointments for these testing opportunities through the online scheduler at https://lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling the hotline at 707-565-4667. -- County Partnership ofrece más oportunidades de pruebas.
