Neighbors don’t let neighbors go hungry. The Riverside Community & Economic Development Department, in partnership with the Riverside Mutual Aid Network and IEHP, is launching the Little Free Pantry program to address food insecurity. The program will establish 26 free community pantries across Riverside neighborhoods to alleviate some of the hunger that Riverside families face. This is an incredible opportunity to establish neighborhood support networks, build stronger communities and help our neighbors facing food insecurity during these uncertain times. Please email [email protected] for an application.
Riverside CARES. Through the CARES Act and partnership with Riverside Unified School District Nutritional Services and Love Riverside a total of 59,640 food boxes were distributed serving approximately 300 families at each distribution.

The COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Riverside Convention Center’s Lot 33 has already put 2,400 shots in arms! Based on dose allocations, more appointments will open this afternoon/evening for those eligible. A few things to note: - The next allocation of doses will be Pfizer; - Ensure your vaccination eligibility by reviewing the tier chart on our website vaccine.RiversideCA.gov;... - If you are returning for your second dose, be sure to bring your vaccination card (and remember: your first and second dose must be the same); - If you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days, DO NOT come to the vaccination site. No-cost COVID-19 testing remains available within our city. Info: RiversideCA.gov/testing - If you are unable to secure an appointment, check the website regularly for openings as they become available. vaccine.RiversideCA.gov

Congratulations to the latest graduate of the City’s Riverside Shelter Village. We are proud of Raylene, who worked hard to gain employment and secure housing through the support of our partner, City Net Riverside. In Riverside County alone, roughly 2,900 adults and youths are experiencing homelessness. A county this size requires a community-wide effort - and fortunately one exists!
