Wearing facial coverings helps us keep our churches and businesses open and get back to normal quicker. People wear masks to protect the ones they love, their neighbors and themselves. Mike in the Engineering Department is one of the City of #Merced employees who is wearing a mask to protect the community on this #MaskUpMonday. Do your part, #MaskUpMerced. People are counting on you. It's how we will be #Ready2Reopen. #BeSafe #COVID19

Keep Merced's economy open in the Red Tier. How Can You Help? It's easy, follow the steps in the picture. Testing sites are available at www.countyofmerced.com/coronavirus
Based on this week's results, Merced County remains in Tier 2: Substantial (Red Tier). *At a minimum, counties must remain in a tier for at least 3 weeks befo...re moving forward. *Data is reviewed weekly and tiers are updated on Tuesdays. *To move forward, a county must meet the next tier’s criteria for two consecutive weeks. *If a county’s metrics worsen for two consecutive weeks, it will be assigned a more restrictive tier. *To help the County remain in this tier and continue to advance along the State's reopening blueprint, residents need to get tested for COVID-19. Increasing our COVID-19 testing rates is the main way to assist with lowering the overall case rate. Merced County Department of Public Health will post the infographic below every Tuesday to inform the community of our current status.

A message from the National Institutes of Health: It can be difficult to cope with fear and anxiety, changing daily routines, and a general sense of uncertainty about #COVID19. Although people respond to stressful situations in different ways, taking steps can help you manage stress.
