Irvine Community Emergency Response Team

Today was our first CERT volunteer effort since this pandemic began. We had 16 volunteers assist with traffic control and distribution of hand sanitizer bottles to over 300 vehicles. All safety precautions were taken - our staff even served the donuts to volunteers so multiple hands stayed out of the box. Well done, everyone. Thank you for being difference makers in our community.

Irvine CERT Class 84 were quick learners during Disaster Medical Operations this evening and enthusiastically practiced their splinting and bandaging skills on eachother. Nicely done, group.

Irvine CERT Class 83 conducted their Final Exercise this evening at Civic Center. This cohort consisted of City Staff Employees who went through a full-scale disaster scenario that was spread out over 3 floor levels with 16 victims with varying degrees of injuries. Great work Class 83!
