Metro will upgrade signal systems on a section of the C Line beginning at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, until the end of service, Sunday, Nov. , 2020. The work will require interruption of rail service between Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station and the Hawthorne/Lennox Station.

The City of El Segundo plans to increase water and wastewater rates to align with the City's current operating costs. The proposed rate increases are due to inflation, required infrastructure replacement, increased federal and state environmental mandates, and pass-through costs from the City of L.A. Hyperion wastewater treatment plant (which has increased by 92% since 2017). In addition, the City of El Segundo purchases water from the West Basin Municipal Water District, and the rates charged to the City are going up 5% to 6% per year. While the City is not aware of any specific public safety threats in the region, as a precaution, the El Segundo Police and El Segundo Fire Departments are prepared for the November 3, 2020 election, and have an operational plan in place to ensure the safety of our residents, businesses and visitors. There will be additional police officers on duty and the City’s All-Hazards Incident Management Team is activated and ready to respond to any incident that may occur. A regional mutual aid plan has been established and a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement team will be on standby to assist with local and/or regional civil unrest or other issues, if needed. #election2020 #ElectionDay #ElectionWeek

Roadwork will be taking place on El Segundo Blvd., between Continental Blvd. and Nash Street, affecting eastbound lanes. The work starts at 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 11 through 5:00 a.m., Monday, December 14. One lane will be open at all times for eastbound traffic. Please proceed through the area with caution.
