Successful past projects have included park and open space clean-up & beautification projects; planting community gardens; little free libraries; graffiti removal and murals; and litter container tile mosaics. Red Flag Warning for the East Bay Hills extended to 6pm Tuesday (5/11/21) due to unusually dry conditions & high winds resulting in high fire weather conditions. Please use extreme caution because a simple spark can cause a major wildfire. Fire/Grilling/BBQ is prohibited in City parks and Joaquin Miller Park is closed to the public until the red flag warning is lifted. Do not congregate in high fire severity zones during red flag warnings to ensure emergency access is maintained. Parking and/or stopping in the lookouts around Grizzly Peak Blvd corridor is prohibited between 9 PM 6 AM. Cars parked illegally or in a manner that might delay emergency vehicle response are subject to citation.
