MORE VACCINE CLINICS ANNOUNCED! Registration is now open for several COVID-19 vaccine clinics planned for those in Phase 1A (all tiers), and 1B (tier 1), which includes individuals 65 and older. The following locations will have vaccine clinics starting Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Friday, Jan. 22. Hours of operation 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.... We’d like to introduce Dr. Anne Turner, our new Community Services Director! Dr. Turner comes to the City of Corona after more than six years as the Director of Human Services for the City of Claremont overseeing Parks, Recreation programs, Senior Services, Special Events, Parks & Rec Facilities, Homeless Services, Community Based Organizations, and Administration. One of the highlights of her tenure was helping to facilitate a more than two-year community process which prod...uced the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park Master Plan in 2016. Anne has also accomplished a bunch of other amazing things in her career like write a book, raise $1.2 million for homelessness services and help start a Master in Public Administration program at Claremont Lincoln University. We know some residents have experienced and are still experiencing delays in waste collection. Waste Management (WM) is working to ensure collection is up to date and as timely as possible, but they are experiencing many challenges due to COVID-19. We truly appreciate your patience and grace during a time that has been challenging for all of us. Also, we would like to remind you that Friday, January 1st is a holiday and normal Friday collections will be completed on Saturday.... You may see collection trucks out on Friday, but those trucks will be working to service any areas that were missed this week. If you have any questions regarding your service, please contact Waste Management customer service line at 1-800-423-9986.

COVID-19 Relief Grants are now available for Small Business - Application deadline is January 8th. Corona businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to apply for the $500 million Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant program funded by the State of California. Grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 and are available for eligible small business owners and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 and related health and safety restrictions. Program criteria and components include, but are not... limited, to the following: - Businesses and nonprofits must have operated in California as of June 1, 2019. - Nonprofits must be 501 c3 or 501 c6 and meet additional criteria. - Grant amounts will be based on revenue size. - Grants are not first-come, first serve and applications will be evaluated based on financial loss due to COVID-19 and additional criteria.
