The City of San Bernardino entered into an exclusive franchise agreement with Burrtec Waste Industries (Burrtec) to provide trash, recycling and some rights-of-way services to City residents and businesses. Rights-of-way (i.e. sidewalks) responsibilities include street sweeping and bulky item pickup services (must be pre-scheduled). Summary: Services will remain unchanged. This includes Residential Community Dump Days. Current barrels (residential) will be serviced on the ...same day of service at the same monthly rate. Holiday's observed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. When the holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day. There is no service interruption or delay when the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday. This Saturday February 25, come out to Wildwood Park for a Free Dump Day for City of San Bernardino Residents. Drop off your unwanted items such as appliances, tires, broken furniture, tree limbs and electronic waste including TVs, computer and etc. Event is from 8AM - 11AM. Must be in line by 11AM to be admitted. Items that are NOT ACCEPTED: Hazardous waste including paint, oil, batteries and household or industrial chemicals, etc. No construction materials such as concret...e, brick, large amounts of dirt, drywall and roofing material. No Commercial Vehicles. This includes enclosed U-Haul/rental moving trucks and /or business vehicles. See more

Mandatory Commercial Recycling has been in effect since 2012. Businesses that generate four cubic yards or more trash a week are required to recycle. Do you have a Christmas Tree that needs to be removed? The City of San Bernardino’s Integrated Waste Management Division will pick-up Christmas trees for refuse account holders the weeks of: Monday, January 5, 2015 through Friday, January 9, 2015 Monday, January 19, 2015 through Friday, January 23, 2015... For removal, place your Christmas tree next to your trash container on your regular refuse collection day on one of the weeks noted above.
