The BSU will be a formal group for all Black identifying drama therapy students to connect, hold space, talk about their experiences, empower each other, engage in mentorship, share resources, host events and BE unapologetically! This is a space to be seen and heard in our drama therapy community. Join and support Black Drama Therapists and allied professionals as we gat...her in community to make a call for action and change. Participants will be a witness of the sharing of story, music, honoring those whom we’ve lost,and spoken word by our facilitators, including (pictured) Mary Morris, MA, Adam Stevens MA, RDT, Jadae Johnson, MA, Jasminr Edward's, MA, LCAT, MT-BC, Rev. Jordan Daniel Stewart, MDiv, Keynes Nazaire, Lucy McLellan, MA, LCAT, LPC, RDT/BCT, Rev. Tiffany Burch, Whitney Bell, and Zahra Warner, MA. A call for demands and action steps that are in line with the Black Lives Matter Movement will also be outlined during this call. COVID-19 had caused immeasurable upheaval and stress for all of us, but in a particular way for our students in MA and AT programs, as well as our BCTs and educ...ators! The NADTA Education Chair worked with educators to develop new and interim policies to address many of the concerns of our students working towards their graduation and RDT requirements as well as their education guides! Join third year Drama Therapy students Jan Gilbert, Jordana de Lory, and Mazal Etedgi for online restorative circles work and drama therapy around current circumstances and feelings surrounding COVID-19....
