The Ice Cream Truck is done!! Here's a few Lego facts you don't know about JJ. JJ uses this magnifying glass to find the little tiny pieces shown in the booklet. JJ also uses the magnifying glass and a little steak knife to carefully apply stickers. If JJ needs help with the stickers, I help him. And JJ always has leftover pieces when he's done. But that's okay. This Ice Cream Truck will be just like a toy in Toy Story. This ice cream truck will have a home forever. And JJ's already thinking about his next Lego challenge! #OurDownSyndromeWorld

Honest Opinion: I'm putting together this Before & After picture just this morning with JJ sitting right next to me. When I was done JJ said.. "I like the blue." I said.. "Me too." Our customer asked me.. "What color should I paint my front door?" And I said.. "Paint your front door Carbon Black with a Satin finish! Make it different from the rest of your home. Down Syndrome Awareness Trick! I mean tip. Hazel: What are you doing? Jeff: What?!? Uhhhh.. nothing. And don't sneak up on me like that. Hazel: I'm a cat. That's what I do. Are you re-plating JJ's TV dinner to take credit for making delicious spaghetti?!?! ... Jeff: No. I mean.. yes but not so I look like a great cook! Hazel: Then why? What other reason could there possibly be? Jeff: I can't believe I'm explaining this to a cat but.. it's so the TV dinner looks waaaaay more appetizing. PLUS I can sneak this garlic bread but more importantly these string beans onto JJ's favorite flamingo plate and... BOOM!! JJ eats his whole dinner!!! Hazel: DUDE! Jeff: I know. Daddyboy: SURPRISE! JJ: What this? Daddyboy: Donuts! Cool huh? JJ: This my favorite thing!!! Daddyboy: I know. ... JJ: Why it tiny little donut? Daddyboy: It's a new thing they have. Krispy Kreme makes them tiny cause they know people will buy even more! JJ: I go eat them all? Daddyboy: No you can't eat them all. Me, you and Hazel have to share. Besides you have to put the groceries away first. Okay? JJ: Okay. I go put the grocery away then I go eat the donut. I happen to think these little tiny doughnuts are genius cause since they're not as BIG, JJ won't consume as many calories. But we can still splurge!! #OurDownSyndromeWorld

JJ has not one but two doctors appointments today. They're gonna flush his ears AND give him a hearing test! I'm super excited! JJ not so much. Daddyboy: Remember you have a doctors appointment today. JJ: Oh I got good idea. You go doctor. I go stay home fix my DVD. That good idea? Daddyboy: No. That's a terrible idea! ... JJ: Okay then. How 'bout this? You go doctor. You finish doctor you bring me McDonald's! That good idea? Daddyboy: OH I GOT A GOOD IDEA! Go get dressed! We gotta go. JJ: Oh I know. YOU go clean my ear? The VERY NEXT DAY Cindy sent JJ a WHOLE CASE of jelly containers cause she didn't want to see JJ go to prison. How amaaaazing and thoughtful and hilarious was that?? Since we couldn't go out trick treating for Halloween I got JJ a piñata instead. And since we have the worst lawn in the whole world we decided to bust the piñata open in the closet of an empty bedroom ! That's JJ looking like a right-handed Babe Ruth!! JJ love it! And Hazel did too. We let her take a few swings . The Halloween experience was completely different. I mean.. smashing a piñata in the closet of a bedroom on Halloween is different! RISE AND SHINE! I could share another pic of my paint truck but instead I'll share our San Francisco skyline silhouetted by a sunrise. It's gonna be another busy day! First I'm off to the paint store to buy 40 gallons of 3 colors. Then I jet to Martinez to give a quote on a condo interior. Then to San Ramon to deliver all the materials needed to properly prep a 2-story home.. plus the 40 gallons of 3 colors. Then I'm off to give another quote in Antioch. Which is go...od timing because Antioch is home and since it'll be lunchtime by then, I'll stop at home to make JJ lunch. And that will be half my day. Then I double back out. And we're at it again! Look at that sun shine!!! This time Church & Sons Painting is deep in San Ramon power washing this home so it's nice and clean for paint. Our customer is going with Platinum Granite for the body. The name is a dead giveaway we're changing the exterior color to a shade of Gray. It's going to look wonderful! Stay tuned.

Jeff: Damn. Little Wooden Bear: What happened? Jeff: I knelt down at the paint store and I heard a POP! My shoe burst open!!! Wooden bear: Bummer. At your age it's a good thing it wasn't your knee! Jeff: I guess you're right. ... Wooden bear: That never happens to me. Jeff: Well you never go to the paint store. Plus you don't wear shoes. Wooden bear: So what happens now? Do they heal? Jeff: No. Shoes don't heal. This means I have to go to a shoe store and buy a new pair. I loved these shoes though. They were my favorites and super comfy! Wooden bear: How long did you have them? Jeff: Only about 15-20 years. Wooden bear: 15-20 years?!? No wonder they're done. Heck I'm only about 10 years old and look how beat up I am. Jeff: I guess 15 years is a long time for shoes. Well it's okay. I have a 10 year old pair upstairs in my closet. I'll use those. Okay I gotta go get changed. You need anything? Wooden bear: Yeah could you move me over to the sun for a little bit? This is Julie and Marissa and they BOOED JJ for Halloween! That means they took the time to drop off a Halloween basket for JJ!!! How sweet and thoughtful is that? And two GREAT things came out of this. JJ got Halloween candy when we thought he would get none. And Julie is teaching Marissa to be compassionate and understanding of those with Special Needs. Good job Julie! Thank you very much Julie and Marissa from me and JJ! You made JJ super happy!! #OurDownSyndromeWorld

I got myself a birthday present ! I usually don't get myself stuff. Most Special Needs Moms and Dads don't. We tend to reserve gift buying for our kids. But I treated myself to an error toy to add to my "Misfit Toys" collection. And this one's a beauty!
