I hope everyone had the best Christmas possible this year. I took a little social media break and enjoyed a very mellow but lovely Christmas. Got out and got some sunshine and fresh air with my family. It was just what we needed. I hope you are all ending this year as well as possible.

A few weeks the Brow Queen herself @audreylglass touched up my mircobladed brows. It had been over 2 1/2 years!! Nothing but an amazing experience start to finish. Love how they healed and so happy to have nice fluffy brows again!

I have never voted early. I kind of have a little tradition of grabbing a coffee and making it my priority to vote the morning of election day. Hair styled by the Ocean. (No seriously) During this second shut down I have been doing everything I can to focus on my mental health and trying to stay positive. The ocean has always been my happy place. Today the ocean was calling at 72. I swam with my family and it was just what my soul needed.

Let’s talk about hard water. Hard water is water with a high mineral content. Hard water causes a lot of negative affects on your hair and your skin. It even creates buildup in your shower, sink, faucets, and on dishes. What hard water can do to your hair:... Build up on your scalp creating dandruff like flakes. Build up on your hair which results in blocking moisturizers from your conditioning products, leaving your hair prone to breakage. Interferes with hair color causing your color to fade quicker, tone changes including brassiness. Leaves your hair frizzy, flat, dry and dull. Hard water can also cause you’re nice expensive products to not work as well. So if you’re investing in nice products you should invest in a shower filter to receive the max benefits. Living in Southern California, this is something we have to deal with. Fortunately there are some things you can do to fix this. There is the expensive option of adding a water filtration system to your home, there are products you can use (Apple cider vinegar rinses is one example) and for me I just switched my showerhead to one that has a filter in it. The filter only needs to be changed once every six months (totally doable). I chose the @t3micro source showerhead because I love all of their other hair tools and this one looks the most chic. Amazon does carry some other ones but they look a little cheap and are not as easy to install. @ Orange County, California
