The Lord is my shepherd! 'Nuff said!!!

Beautiful weather Sunday! We had a wonderful time with some of our kiddos in the courtyard! Such a memorable lesson about how our words either leave and indelible hole of pain, or mark of blessing, that lasts! They hammered nails into a board. Each nail represented a word. They removed the nails representing the mean words while saying they were sorry as they pulled them out, and we talked about the hole in the wood that was left! They took the nail home to place somewh...ere visible as a constant reminder They got the message! After service 2 girls were talking, I did not hear the whole conversation but I did hear one say, "Stop saying that. You're leaving a hole in my heart!" Next Sunday with a little wood putty and paint, we will talk about how God makes beauty from our hurts! While several kids are unable to attend at this time, we want all present to be excited about learning through memorable activities, great lessons, games, and snacks! Hey friends! We just received a very generous offer for our church! A dear friend heard that we were having a special event this Sunday at our church. It will be an opportunity for people to give their best gift at Christmas, the birthday celebration for Jesus. He called Pastor Jim to let us know that whatever people give as a total, he would match dollar for dollar! That is an extraordinary opportunity for us all to double our donation. This is a huge opportunity for the ...Kingdom!! Not ONE penny goes to any administrative or personnel gain. It is divided up into thirds. 1/3 to Missions 1/3 to our "Bread of Life food ministry outreach" of which is manned by 100 percent volunteers, alone. 1/3 to our home church projects such as some much needed remodel areas, outreach expansion, etc. It's been a tough year for many, but very blessed for others. As this has no bearing on my pocket book , and is 100 percent for the Kingdom and others, I have no hesitation to ask. It is tax deductible with receipt given.
