RAISED RIGHT.... Selflessness. Generosity. Caring. Yesterday, Officer Jones met Andrew and Aaron. Andrew and Aaron are cousins who are like-minded in their giving. They explained to Officer Jones that they had received $100 each for Christmas, from their Uncle. This year they decided to do something different, they decided they wanted to be a blessing to other kids who may not be as fortunate as they are. The two cousins pooled their money together and bought $200 wor...th of toys and donated the toys to Chips 4 Kids. Thank you Andrew and Aaron! RUNNING 4 HEROES.... How do you say THANK YOU to someone who selflessly gives of themselves for so many people he’s never met? How do you say THANK YOU to someone for such an overwhelming display of LOVE and RESPECT?... How do you say THANK YOU to a person that dedicates themselves to healing and honoring others? The answer..... You Don’t. You just let Zechariah do what Zechariah does best and that’s change and heal the world one selfless mile at a time. Zechariah Cartledge is a 12 year old boy from Florida who runs 1 mile for every first responder that is killed in the line of duty throughout the country. So far Zechariah has run over 686 miles for first responders. Once the one mile run is completed he presents a thin blue or a thin red line flag to the family of the fallen first responder. Zechariah flew over 2,400 miles from his home state of Florida and landed in our state’s capital. His family then drove over 40 miles to Yuba Sutter to present CHP Officer David Gordon with a check for $5,000. Officer Gordon was injured in the line of duty due to a drunk driver. Once this act of kindness was completed Zechariah ran one mile in honor of all of the fallen first responders in the state of California. At the end of the run, Zechariah presented the thin blue line flag, he was running with, to the Captain of the Yuba Sutter Area CHP Office. This was an emotional trip for Zechariah, as he got to meet Officer Natalie Corona’s mother. Officer Corona’s line of duty death was the very first mile that Zechariah ran when he began his mission of honoring first responders back on January 12, 2019. SAFETY FIRST!! Yesterday, Officer Jones was invited to Kathy’s Daycare, to share some safety information with her kids. It started with the kids being able to sit in the patrol vehicle and turn the emergency lights on and off. Then the kids sat on the lawn and learned some safety information about Stranger Danger and the importance of wearing a seatbelt. Once the kids presentation was over, it was onto the parents. The parents received safety information on the proper u...sage of a child safety seat (car seat). They were given tutelage and had questions answered. *A Very Special Thank You to the child safety seat helper, Little Miss Sassy...Gianna!! Pictures were taken, coloring books, stickers, face masks and hand sanitizer were handed out to each of the kids. CHP-Stockton is currently working a four vehicle traffic collision near Peltier Rd and N. Bender Rd. It’s unknown what the cause of the collision was. Officers on scene reported minor injuries however it is unknown the full extent of the injuries. All lanes are blocked near the green bridge. If this is your typical route home, please avoid the area.

SAFE & SOUND! This afternoon an Amber Alert was broadcast for a baby taken out of Livingston in Merced County. Through constant investigation, CHP-Stockton was able to track the suspect’s movement into the city of Stockton. CHP-Stockton enlisted the assistance of San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department and Stockton Police Department. The three agencies converged on the suspect’s Stockton address and created a perimeter. Officer A. Khan and Sergeant Butler were on scene an...d assisted with the safe recovery of the juvenile and the apprehension of the suspect. Thankfully the juvenile was recovered unharmed and the suspect was turned over to Livingston Police Department. It’s a bird..... it’s actually a plane While on patrol in the city of Ripon, Officer Jones spotted some strange activity near Mistlin Park. He drove in to get a closer look and came upon a group of retirees. These men enjoy piloting aircrafts with their newfound free time, in retirement. Officer Jones asked about their pilot’s licenses and quickly realized these were toy planes.... After watching for several minutes, Officer Jones’ inner child came flying out and he... begged to play.... uhhh...fly a plane. After a quick tutorial, Officer Jones was given control of a Boeing 737... ok...ok... a toy plane. After getting caught in the strong winds, Officer Jones had to relinquish control, but was able to successfully and safely land the plane on his 2nd attempt, sending all of the pretend passengers home safely...... OFF TO CAR JAIL..... Sideshows are an illegal activity that continues to plague many communities. It is a reckless activity that endangers many lives, it also disrupts everyday people from being able to get to their destination peacefully. Law enforcement continues to discourage this informal social gathering as it oftentimes leads to other violent behavior, such as fights or shootings. ... After sideshows in the city of Oakland, a vehicle was spotted fleeing the area. After some teamwork between Oakland PD and CHP-Stockton, the vehicle was traced back to San Joaquin County. After several weeks of diligent investigation, CHP-Stockton Officer Tesch located the vehicle in Stockton. With a warrant in hand, Officer Tesch arrested the vehicle. The vehicle was sentenced to 30 days at the impound yard. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYDER Yesterday, first responders and friends of the Camilleri family had the pleasure of conducting a birthday parade for Ryder Camilleri’s 5th birthday. Motorists stopped and handed Ryder gifts and well wishes. Theeeeennnn... Officer Jones had some fun with Ryder...... acting silly and even threw down the gauntlet and challenged Ryder to a race! Winner of the race got to keep all of the toys. It was a close race.....but the winner was...... CLIFFHANGER......... RYDER WINS.... RYDER WINS.... We’re pretty sure he won in world record time........ unofficially.... Aaannddd if that wasn’t enough, CHP-Golden Gate Division apparently has superhero phone numbers in their roladex. They made a phone call and Spider-Man showed up. Spider-Man happens to be Ryder’s favorite superhero, well next to his DAD. Ryder is no stranger to superheroes. Ryder’s dad is a superhero too, he is fallen CHP Officer Andrew Camilleri. Officer Camilleri was tragically taken from his family on Christmas Eve in 2017. He was struck and killed by an impaired driver. This is dedicated to a fallen hero, dad and husband CHP Officer Andrew Camilleri ID#21653.
