Chowchilla Girls Softball

CGS FAMILIES! We will be offering a spring softball program for the MINORS, JUNIORS & MAJORS divisions.The season will run from March 15th - May 15th 2021. Unfortunately we will not be offering T-BALL this year. Registration is FREE and will be held IN PERSON on the season start date for each division as follows. MINORS (6-8YRS) ... MONDAY, March 15th @ 5:30-8pm JUNIORS (9-11YRS) TUESDAY, March 16th @ 5:30-8pm MAJORS (11.5 YRS-8TH GRADE) WEDNESDAY, March 17th @ 5:30-8pm Each night will include a warm up, practice and a game. Each week the divisions will meet on their assigned day to participate. MINORS - MONDAY 6-8PM JUNIORS - TUESDAY 6-8PM MAJORS- WEDNESDAY 6-8PM PLAYERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT. Due to the new Lockdown recommendations, we are moving the next Flag Football registration to Saturday, January 2nd at Ed Ray Park from 10:00am-12:30pm. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

New this season, all games will be played on Saturdays!! Divisions are TBD based on participation from each grade. Team block times are also TBD based on total registration.

Attention CGS volunteers, players, and families: We the board have made the decision to cancel our 2020 season. We are getting later into the year, and with the current restrictions in place, the odds are not in our favor. With that said, we have come to offer you one of two options for you to choose from. For those who have previously paid for our 2020 season, you can choose from the following: Option 1- a refund of what each family previously paid (this includes any discou...nts) or Option 2- a donation of the amount previously paid back into the CGS Program. We would like to thank all of you for your patience and understanding. Once we get the clearance to proceed, we will post a time and date for the refunds & team equipment collections.

Due to current health & safety concerns, Chowchilla Girls Softball will be postponing the 2020 Season start date until Monday, April 13th (after spring break). We will continue follow guidance from local & state officials, as well as the Center for Disease Control. While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 within our League & Community, we believe this is the right decision for our players, families, & community members. As for continuance of practices:... It will be up to the Coaches & Guardians personal decisions to hold & or have their players attend. There will be no negative impact on a player who does not attend during this time. Our Annual BBQ Fundraiser will still be taking place tomorrow 3/14 11:00AM-2:00PM for pick-up. We will also have an area for anyone wanting to donate/pick-up used or unwanted softball equipment & clothing. *PLEASE NOTE* NO REFUNDS will be issued for BBQ Tickets or Registrations.
