Jumping into the weekend like....
Geranium preschoolers have been OBSESSED with making their own cardboard creations! They started with tape and then teachers introduced a way for them to build UP using hot glue. Children had to be patient and hold their items at an angle for 20 seconds while teachers used the glue gun, but they were thrilled with their slanted roofs and sharp angles.
Taking care of the babies
Third graders took a virtual field trip to see @oaklandmuseumca’s Art Speaks Loud exhibit and learn how art can be a powerful tool to talk about the issues that matter most to students in California, including the environment, identity, and community.

We’re increasing our on-campus cohort time to twice a week for each elementary classroom, while carefully monitoring all safety guidelines. Third graders are pictured here enjoying time in our outdoor and indoor learning spaces.
Alternative Halloween for our Kinder on-campus cohort, who made their own eye masks to add to their face masks and explored the campus incognito!
Geranium preschoolers enjoying the meadow on campus. Children noticed (but didn’t touch) some very large mushrooms and collected seed pods that looked like caterpillars, as well as twigs and leaves in many different sizes and shapes. Teacher A brought along plastic animals and some children engaged in imaginative play. A few children turned the big wheel sculpture, too. Everyone heard the chimes from the bell tower, which were not too loud because they were some distance away, and the children got to experience them from the other side of campus.
