Jane Johnson is a person who took her considerable talents and used them to fight for the most vulnerable people - childhood abuse victims. She is retiring as E...xec. Director of Child Haven, Inc. today, and she used her moment in the sun to challenge the city & county officers, the DA, judges and her whole staff to keep working for the kids, but do more! Child Haven kicked off child abuse prevention month by placing over 700 pin wheels on the Child Haven lawn to represent each child that this agency served in our Solano County community. In just one week, Tuesday, November 27th Child Haven will participate in our country's National Day of Giving. Since 1983, Child Haven's dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers have provided therapeutic services to child victims of abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, domestic violence and other traumatic loss. We served 734 kids last year. Sadly, the need continues to grow and we have experienced some of the highest demand for our services. To meet that growing demand, ...we need an "all hands on deck" effort to reach our ambitious fundraising goals. We are keenly aware of the challenges, immense loss and great needs faced by so many communities during these past recent weeks... and the many valuable agencies providing much needed support during this time.
