Community volunteers assembled the new couches for our 0-2 Program classrooms today!

It is not that there are standards, it is when the application of standards does not reflect our research-based knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice. CEC is committed to honoring the journey of Early Childhood by promoting play as the most efficacious learning tool humans possess.

CEC has had some amazing moments this winter! The carpenter team of five dads completed the redwood Viking long ship sand box! Our hardworking Board of Directors met for the full day retreat. And, of interest, Madame Cure is being renamed Chanticleer and may have to be removed to Be Love Farm if he cannot stop his sunrise exclamations of joy.

So exciting! CEC has begun the room renovations project that we hope to conclude in July 2014. New concrete poured for the Twos Program sub-floor over Winter Break. This has been an amazing partnership between parents, staff and, our landlord, BUSD. Thanks to all who have supported the work!
