Wonderful experiencing helping to restore this beautiful building. The church was first built in 1863. In 1907, it was donated to the African Methodist Episcopal Church community.

Volunteers are needed to help restore the historic Bethel AMEC, Chico chapel. Volunteers will help with chipping and sanding the building to prepare it for painting, as well as trimming the bushes and brush around the property.
