Hello Chico Eastside Little League Families, Your board of directors have decided that we will be opening registration for the 2021 Little League season! We have reviewed the state guide lines and we are super excited on what it states! So as of Saturday January 16, 2021 registration will be fully opened and you will need to go on to our website and sign up and if you have placed your player on our waitlist you will need to complete registration to include all documents and payment. Here we go!! The news we all been waiting for!! Hello Eastside Families! WAIT LIST REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!... I hope this email finds you and your family well. It has been a very long 9 months since we had to shut down our Spring 2020 Little League season. It is finally time to begin looking ahead to the Spring 2021 season. At this time, given the current status of Butte County, we are not sure exactly when that will be, but we do believe we will be able to safely have the kids play some baseball at some point this spring. It will be a joyous occasion when we are finally able to do that! In order to gauge interest and continue planning, we are opening registration for all divisions - to the WAIT LIST only. This means that you will be able to register your child, but no payment will be required. We ask that, if you think your child may want to play this spring, please go ahead and register. Dear Eastside Families, This is the hardest message we've ever had to share... The Eastside Little League Board of Directors met on Monday, June 15th. Unfortunately, we have voted to cancel the season for the rest of our players (AAA/Majors/Juniors) as we were not able to begin games by then. Please know that not one person on the Board wanted to take this action, but without some guidance/allowance for opening from Butte County Public Health, we were simply not able to con...tinue and we did not want to keep "pending" things indefinitely. Refunds - If you are the parent of a player currently registered, you will have two options for how you would like to handle your refund. Please click the link in your email to let us know how you would like to proceed. Please ONLY complete the form once per player. If you are the parent of a player in our TBall/Farm/AA divisions, and have already completed the survey, but have not yet received a refund, please reply to the email and we will respond as soon as we are able. As a reminder, the refund rates are: TBall/Farm $63.50 AA/AAA Minors $86.00 Majors/Juniors $79.50 Note: If we do not receive direction via the link above by July 15, 2020, we will gratefully thank you for your donation. Hello CELL families - we hope everyone is staying healthy! The Eastside Little League Board continues to monitor state and county requirements as well as direction from District 47 impacting the potential resumption of our 2020 season. Unfortunately, we still do not have clear guidance on when we might be able to get our kiddos back on the field, but we are still hoping it will happen soon. Please be on the lookout for an email and FB post with a survey link. We want to h...ear from you! In the meantime, please accept our sincerest thanks for your patience. This has been the craziest Little League season EVER! The Board is meeting Tuesday evening, and we hope to have some clear guidance and make some decisions at that time. We will reach out Wednesday with an update.

Eastside Families, On Monday, March 16, Little League International issued an update to the recommended suspension of all activities implemented last week. Here is a portion of the message: "With the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Little League International Board of Directors and staff is now strongly advising all its local Little League programs to suspend/delay their Little League seasons through no earlier than Monday..., May 11. We implore you to follow this recommendation and suspend all Little League activities through no earlier than May 11. We recognize that this is the heart of the traditional Little League season, and we share in the great disappointment that many are feeling surrounding this additional pause in the 2020 season. However, it is our hope that by doing this, we will all play a small, but important part in flattening the curve in the spread of the coronavirus pandemic..." ...the full message from Little League International can be viewed at this link https://www.littleleague.org//recommended-temporary-suspe/ It is our sincere hope that we can find ways to bring everyone back to the Little League fields this season, whether that’s later this spring or throughout the summer. The Eastside Board of Directors agrees it is in the best interests of our families, players and staff to follow this recommendation to suspend all activities for now, with the possibility of resuming play no sooner than Monday, May 11th. We know this leaves many kids incredibly disappointed and many families with lots of questions, many of which we share with you. We are aware that one of the primary questions is regarding raffle tickets - obviously we do not recommend kids be out selling them at this time and ask that you hold on to them for the moment. We are hopeful that, by April 3rd, we will have additional guidance and recommendations from Little League International which will help guide our next steps. Hopefully, we can find a way to bring everyone back to the baseball field and resume play in 2020. Thank you for your support and patience as we work through this together. Upon recommendation from Little League International, Eastside is suspending all Little League activities effective immediately and until April 6. We're sorry, no games and no practices. We will continue with updates as they happen to keep everyone informed.

Sadly, we're not getting a reprieve in the weather and we are going to have to cancel Opening Day Cermonies and all games. Pitch, Hit, Run will be held on Picture Day (3/28) Games scheduled for Monday are ON!
