CCC Week 2 was another big hit! We made New Years hats, poppers, clocks and funny noisemakers along with awesome face masks and snow globes. And of course we spent a good amount of time in Ewok Village, a camper favorite! We have so much fun hanging out with these amazing campers and are looking forward to our third week of winter break camp, which starts Monday, 1/4! Radical Reptiles, week 12! We made Cedar Grove our new domain, had fun with interactive crafts, showed off our creative sides with chalk art and safely examined a gopher snake (who we named George ) before releasing back to nature. It’s always a great day to be at Camp Chico Creek!

Happy Halloween from the Nature Center! We hope you all have a safe and fun day celebrating Halloween with a full moon!

Week 11, Magnificent Mammals was another big success! We learned about bats, made some fun crafts, had John the desert tortoise help us out with homework, explored cedar grove, got real messy with some colorful oobleck and had a BLAST celebrating Halloween! What wonderful costumes Camp Chico Creek!

Brilliant Birds week was a hoot! We made our own masks, did some pretty awesome crafts, had a few high stakes baseball games going, took advantage of the warm weather at our beloved creek and even learned some fun games led by our very own CCC campers. We love learning, spending time in nature and having FUN with our amazing campers!

A festive fall hello from some of our animal friends at the Nature Center! They are pampered as ever and all decked out for the season. They’ve been enjoying figuring out what this mysterious new orange thing could be. Bowser decided hers must be a pillow!

Fall Camp Chico Creek kiddos and staff had a blast during confounding chemistry week! We made baking soda surprise eggs and oobleck, and learned about saturated solutions by growing our own crystals. Be sure to join us next week for Bug Bonanza and another great week of FUN!
