Hi church family and community. We've had a lot of momentum and excitement in our preparation for returning to an in-person worship service, especially for the Holiday Season. Normally this is a a time of homecoming and celebration as a church community. We had a large group of volunteers who worked for over 6 hours in the cold and rain to setup tents for us to meet in. Our audio/visual team is building new systems to provide church in-person and online, our sanitation an...d hospitality teams have been in preparation to make sure we're safe and warmly greeted, and our worship committee had been putting together a fun and exciting program for our Christmas service. With great disappointment, our church staff and worship committee have decided to not hold in-person worship services through the Christmas and New Year holidays. We considered the rapid increase of COVID cases, especially in our own church and school communities, while at the same time acknowledging the great cost of not gathering together as a church community and celebrating the holidays together. We believe this is in best interest of our community at this time. We also recognizing the tension that pulls between our values for health and safety with the emotional and spiritual well-being that comes from church in community. After the new year we will re-evaluate when in-person services may resume. We are grateful to those who helped set up the tents and those who continue to move forward the ministry of the church. Let's continue to pray for and care for each other with an openness for giving and receiving love.
