We have been keeping up with the current news and unfortunately we still haven't received the okay to open back up. While at this time we can’t train together, it’s still important to share our views and values. We can’t have Capoeira without recognizing the history for which it stands.

As a preemptive concern, all martial art classes will be suspended for the next few weeks at Chico Kodenkan. After some consideration, our Tuesday & Thursday evening classes will be switching to only Wednesday evening. I would like to see a single active class during the week instead of 2 low attendance classes. I've also been told Wednesday is a better day of the week, so let's get active again and I look forward to seeing everyone this Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

The air quality is still listed as very poor and I'm personally still having a lot of difficulty breathing. No class tonight, but I do plan on returning for Sunday.

Due to poor air quality, and a collective decision by the studio, we will not be offering class today. This may extend through the week if the smoke doesn't subside enough. Instead we encourage you to help out those that may have been displaced by the recent fires or volunteer with one of the many groups working to help others during this difficult period. We are through most of the Capoeira classes, but it's not to late to come to the Movement workshop at 2 PM. Workshop is designed to improve mobility and balance, which you can use beyond just Capoeira. Workshop is open to the public.

We had an excellent workshop yesterday; however, don't forget that we still have regular classes today.

We support all Capoeira in Chico. Come take a workshop with our good friend Professor Bode. We are doing a demo by the Farmers Market to help promote at 10am. The workshop will be at Seishin-Do Karate at 11am.
