It is performed by two different casts and the students have created their roles entirely in isolation performing and filming themselves on their cameras and using their houses, their yards and local parks to create the various magical locations of the plays. The Middle and Upper School Choruses have assembled uplifting pieces to bring you comfort and joy this holiday season. The Upper School Chorus proudly presents: "You are a Light," a world premiere composition by Choral Director Kevin Babuder and the Upper School Chorus inspired by the words of the late civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis. The Upper School Chorus also performed "Imbakwa," a Swahili piece evoking joy, telling us to sing from the heart. The Middle Schoo...l Chorus featured two songs, one of comfort by Amy Bernon called "Light, You Will Have," and the second of joy, "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley. Congratulations to eighth-grader Winston and his brother, Dylan, for winning California’s 33rd Congressional District’s Fifth-Annual Congressional App Challenge! The brothers created GroceryBuddies, a Web, iOS and Android application that connects high-school and university volunteers with at-risk individuals to help deliver groceries and run errands. They were inspired to create this app because of the COVID-19 pandemic. By winning the competition, the brothers will have their app featured in a display at the U.S. Capitol Building, and they will be invited to a "House of Code" reception in Washington D.C. to demonstrate their app and see other winning apps from around the country. Iregbulem began his career as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan, advising clients like EMC and Comcast. Previously Philip founded Abacus Growth, one of the premier ad agencies on TikTok, and was Head of Growth for CounterPoint, a political newsletter written by award-winning cartoonists.
