Falcon heads bow once again, as former men's soccer player Jonathan Monreal lost his life in a car accident this past Monday. Monreal played for the Falcons in 2015 and scored once in the 19 games in which he played. Head coach Benny Artiaga - "This is just terrible news. Johnny was such a nice young man and good player. He will be missed. The year he played, I was dealing with a serious back injury and wasn't around as much as I would have liked. But you could still it like ...a cold shower when you hear the news. Very saddened to give my condolences to his family." If you would like to contribute to a GoFundMe to help with funeral and memorial costs, please go here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-loving-memory-of-jonathan-mon

It is with tremendous sadness to announce that our beloved equipment manager and friend Refugio "Poonie" Estrada passed away this evening. His kids, Matthew and Desiree, were with him and they wanted to let everyone know that he went peacefully and he's no longer in pain. I know we all loved him and cherish the memories we have of him. I'll be writing a press release for the college's athletic website tomorrow, so if you'd like to share a memory and/or photo of you and Poonie, please post it here. I'll be happy to include it in the press release. #RIPPoonie
