"Coming in to this program, I knew I wanted to change careers and likely move in to city planning, but I was lacking the confidence and technical skills. I wanted more experience and exposure to the subject matter and the skills that would be needed in grad school or a future career. I was also hoping that city planning was more than dry zoning codes - I was hoping it was rooted in social justice, that it was people-centered, that it was creative and fun and artful and progr...essive. [INCITY] delivered and more. The teaching team was absolutely wonderful - kind, helpful, accessible, thoughtful, intelligent. Michael did a fabulous job structuring the course - I loved the focus on social justice; the class precedent presentations built up our knowledge basis quickly; and the media skills, lectures and readings synthesized really well together. You can tell Michael is very knowledgeable and observant when it comes to public spaces; he has a keen eye; and he offers great constructive yet supportive feedback.
