Biden is now president, but RESISTANCE still needs to continue!!! Below is a video on our event "Consistent Resistance" where we are joined by Justice 4 Steven Taylor, Justice 4 Sean Monterrosa, SF Bay View National Black Newspaper, Save Midtown, Asmara Gebre, with performances by The Curtis Family C-Notes, Barnzilla, Imani, and Canal Kn!ght. On 10/23, student artists from CCSF held an art protest show for Black liberation through intercultural solidarity. The pillars of edu...cation, health/motherhood, housing, justice, abolition, liberation journalism, arts were discussed, although we recognize there are more systems of oppression that Black folx face every day of their lives that are not represented. The goal of Consistent Resistance is to make this an ongoing effort and foster community. We must all recognize the fights these Black leaders are pushing for, and be present in their actions to help push for their demands! consistentresistance.org - virtual gallery and actions to support our Black community! Huge thanks to Fillmore St Cafe for letting this happen, our artists, participants, and everyone that showed up! ***watch video on Youtube for timestamps** Full video of event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3uJeT33reU

"In the song I talk about the importance of fighting oppression and the consequences terrorist organizations like the police and kkk have on marginalized communities. Also speaking to self love/empowerment because these too (I believe) are radical act during these unprecedented times" - Canal Kn!ght Canal Kn!ght, a San Jose based musician, created this song discussing police brutality, drawing inspiration from the Black Panthers, Black Lives Matter movement, and the Consiste...nt Resistance line up. He samples a chant from a Black Panthers protest - coincidentally, two Black Panther members were part of the program: Maestro Curtis, and Comrade Malik. ***Support Canal Kn!ght*** IG: @canalknight Cashapp: $canalbaby Download the song: https://soundcloud.com/f1racer/r-i-s-e **consistentresistance.org**

We fully endorse AnitaMartinez4CollegeBoard as the trustee that will listen to CCSF stakeholders, address the financial issues, and ultimately help heal CCSF. No to political ambition eclipsing the trustee position. YES to keeping our community....something Anita will do.

The goal behind this Trustee Candidates forum was to not only hear answers, but to organize actions. We are looking forward to Trustee Candidates Anita Martinez, Geramye Teeter, Aliya Chisti, Victor Olivieri, and Jeanette Quick organizing a town hall that will address the current Board of Trustees with CCSF community members. Shanell Williams and Tom Temprano, both who are running for re-election, were not at our forum. We hope they can help make this town hall happen. The... candidates will also write a resolution to advocate for Black Student Union and Affirmative Action Task Force Demands, along with another one pushing for Phillipine Human Rights Act. Although we weren't able to ask every single question, the hope is the town hall that must include the current trustees, will be the space for that. More information on the town hall, including questionnaires, is here: https://linktr.ee/ccsfleadership Youtube video includes timestamps for all questions.

From Dr Hafez Modirzadeh , who is calling for racial equity in the SFSU Music Department: "The overarching equity and diversity commitment expressed at the Opening Convocation, on August 20th, for a racial justice tied to student goals, has inspired me to offer a perspective here towards our own School of Music that may prove useful as we turn our spoken truths into effective action for bolstering antiracism on campus. The following is not intended to provoke disdain, but rat...her, reflection, deliberation, and hopefully, resolve in moving forward as a learning community into the future. After more than thirty years of CSU faculty experience, I am now convinced that the collective excellence of our School suffers perennially from a deep intergenerational upholding of that archaic separate but equal logic that miseducates, leaving our students perpetually revolving around a musical caste system stuck thick in ethnic myopia."

"There is a crisis happening in African American Studies at CCSF, a department celebrating its 50th anniversary. The CCSF administration refuses to take necessary steps to support our Brown and Black students. It's time to demand action! This video was created by the Affirmative Action Task Force of AFT Local 2121. https://www.aft2121.org/affirmative-action-task-force/... It's terrible to hear that the Balboa Reservoir was unanimously decided by the Board of Supervisors to continue it's development through AvalonBay...we thank everyone involved in pushing for the appeal, especially the appellants Alvin Ja, Madeline Mueller, and Wynd Kaufmyn.
