Years of work pay off one success at a time... Hi! My name is Liz and for about 4 years I received services from CCSA-Pacific Beach. The kindness and help I received there really changed my life. I feel as though the staff and volunteers genuinely care about the people they serve. They touched my heart and gave me belief in myself and the courage to seek out the help I needed. I was always treated respectfully and with such amazing kindness. They loved me when I was not able ...to love myself. I am very proud to report that I am currently living inside in Indiana and I have a beautiful son. I am getting counseling, I am working, and I am completely sober off all drugs and alcohol. Thank you for all the food, clothes, and books over the years. And more importantly thank you for treating me with dignity ALWAYS and assisting me in getting my life put back together. I am so happy and full of gratitude! Liz

Hi CCSA Community supporters! I was in Los Angeles this past week and heard regular updates on the LA Homeless population that is now over 60,000 people. It is beyond deplorable that men, women and children are in this situation, living under underpasses, on the sidewalks, in canyons and wherever they can find any kind of safe shelter. We all know San Diego has the very same issues. CCSA has an Amazon Smile sandal and sneaker drive going on right now for the homeless. Can't we all help with this one gesture of kindness to those in need living on our streets? A pair of sandals, flip flops, or sneakers can bring some relief. A SUCCESSFUL HUNGER WALK 2019! CCSA celebrates another year of Hunger Walk. On Saturday, April 27, 2019, a crowd of supporters got out of bed early on Saturday morning and walked to bring attention to hunger in San Diego, where one out of every six children has been found to be at risk for hunger, and to raise funds to help solve the problem of hunger. To date, over $29,000 has been raised for this cause. We give thanks to all those who walked, and to all of those who donated, and to Emma's Gut Bucket band, who entertained us the entire event.

CCSA thanks the children of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and Preschool who, as a celebration of Holy Week, collected NEW children's shoes, and over 300 pair of socks, that were donated to CCSA. NEW shoes and socks will be given out as part of our Back to School program.

Save the date for the upcoming "Transforming Corazones" concert on Saturday, May 18th, from 6 to 8 pm! Don't miss this exciting event for the benefit of CCSA and the school at Eglise Lutherienne Temple de Dieu de Morne Billande, a Lutheran church in Haiti. This is an great opportunity for entertainment, all while supporting two wonderful groups. Mark your calendars and plan to bring your friends and family!
