Godly Leaders are students who mirror Christ’s character and behavior in diverse environments and who consider the interest of others above their own. (Philippians 2:3) Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. WEAR RED, WHITE, and BLUE!: In honor of Veteran’s Day, students may wear patriotic c...olors to school on Tuesday, November 10. VETERAN’S DAY OBSERVED: In observance of Veteran’s Day, there will be no school or daycare Wednesday, November 11. EARLY DISMISSAL/PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES: Students will be dismissed at 12:00 this Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13 for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Conferences will be conducted through ZOOM. Reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule your appointment. BOOK IT! NEWS: Gobble, Gobble up those books. Everyone is doing a Turkeyriffic Job, keep on reading so you can earn your November certificate for that FREE personal pizza. PROGRESS REPORTS: End of the Grading Period is Friday, November 20. Remember, you can daily check your student’s progress by logging on to your parent portal. Any student who has dropped a grade in any subject or is currently earning below a C- will receive a hard copy progress report requiring a parent signature. ELEMENTARY THANKSGIVING FEAST Friday, November 20: This is a fun time where students eat together as a class. Be sure to purchase a Hot Lunch from the lunch menu or send your student to school with a lunch from home. Hot lunches will be individually boxed for each student. We will not be serving any family style desserts or snacks this year. We will be on Day schedule this day with dismissal at 12:00. Daycare is provided. Daycare fees begin at 3:00pm. THANKSGIVING BREAK IS NOVEMBER 23 NOVEMBER 27: Daycare service will be offered Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, 6:30am-5:30pm at $25.00 per child for each day. If Daycare is needed for more than one child, the cost for each additional child is $20.00. Fees will be billed to your Smart Tuition account. Please provide a lunch for your child. The Snack Shack will be open for students that would like to purchase lunch and/or snack items. Please sign-up in the Elementary or Daycare Office by Friday, November 20. (No same day walk-ins will be allowed). Please note: There will be a $25.00 fee for any no shows.

LET THE READING BEGIN!: Ready, Set, Go, Let the... reading begin!! October is our kickoff month to start the Book It! Reading Incentive Program, which runs October March. Each student who completes their monthly reading requirement will earn a coupon for a FREE personal pizza from Pizza Hut. Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader, Read on Everybody!! CCCS UNIFORM DRESS STANDARD: Now that Fall has officially arrived and the weather is cooling down a bit, beginning TODAY, Monday, October 5, students will no longer be able to wear scripture t-shirts in lieu of their uniform polos on Mondays-Thursdays. However, students will be able to wear their scripture shirts on Fridays this year with uniform bottoms. SENSORY SCREENING: Our annual sensory screening will be taking place on Thursday, October 8. Sign-up forms will be sent home in your child’s homework folder, and are also available in the Elementary Office. FALL FUNDRAISER: We have completed the first week of our school wide fall fundraiser. Let’s keep selling those delicious cookies and gifts! Thank you for your support. All forms and payments are due October 22. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 - End of First Quarter / Early Release Day / Daycare Available: School is dismissed at 12:00 noon. Students not picked up by 12:15 will be signed into daycare. Daycare charges begin at 3:00pm. Students who are staying in daycare will need a lunch from home or a hot lunch. If your child does not have a lunch by 12:30, an emergency lunch will be given to them.
