The guilt, and condemnation and the penalty of sin that Jesus suffered were reckoned to our account, from a judicial point of view we have been credited with having paid the judgment that came on Adam. We can now stand from a legal and practical position against sin, sickness, poverty, and death with Christ given authority. Jesus paid the sin debt he didn’t owe. He did it on our behalf so that we would be forever exonerated (acquitted, forgiven, pardon) of the sin of Adam. W...e now through Christ Jesus can reign in life over sin sickness, poverty, and death. The sin, sickness, poverty, and death that Jesus suffered were so that we would be the recipients (heirs) of righteousness, health, prosperity, and life. The big question is if Jesus took my sickness why do we still get sick? Actually, the question should be why do we still sin? Jesus said in this world we will have test and trials be of good cheer I have overcome the world, James says count all joy when you fall into a test, trial, and temptation. Paul says this is the victory that overcomes even the faith. The devil is forever trying to kill, steal and destroy us in one form or other; the life that we inherited in Christ is the reigning force. If we are to live in victory we must employ the ministry of the Holy Spirit to lead us, show us and guide us against methods of the devil. Without a foundation of justification by faith and not works, victory will be elusive. See more
