A large portion of our business is our "Tea 2 Go". It's like a boxed lunch only tea party style! One of our favorite customers treats herself once a month to a little picnic for one. We also provide catering for quite a few large tea events every year for churches, showers etc, any size event large or small for pick up or delivery, it's only $15. Perfect for a romantic lunch for two or for business lunches too!

Another fun comment recently was from one of the dads who loved our scones so much, he wondered if we scheduled poker nights at the tea room so the guys could sit around and eat the scones :)

We know many of you enjoy our wonderful teas at home and are planning to restock for the holidays from out BouTEAque! Here are some tips to help you brew the perfect cup at home. Or, easier still...call us for Tea to go! How do you make a good cup of tea? In general, oxidized tea (black tea, puerh tea and oolong tea) is more tolerant of boiling water whereas non-oxidized and low-oxidized tea is not. The best thing to do is to let the water cool down for a minute or two onc...e it reaches boiling point in order to get the right temperature for brewing. Duration of steeping time depends on whether the tea is 1) handpicked or machine-picked 2) elevation at which the tea tree was planted 3) personal preference 4) level of oxidization 5) level of baking or roasting. Machined-picked leaves are more chopped in appearance and require a shorter duration of infusion. Lowland tea is thinner than its high-mountain counterpoints, and therefore, requires a short duration. If you prefer a strong tasting beverage, give the tea some extra seconds of infusion. Lightly oxidized tea and lightly baking tea tend to be light on the taste palette as well so keep that in mind during tea brewing.
