Torry McTyer, Class of 2013, currently playing CB for the Cincinnati Bengals, follows the Cathedral way and started a Foundation to serve the youth and community. We're very proud of you Torry. #GoPhantoms
The Cathedral Alumni Association is especially aware of the needs of Cathedral High School students. As alumni, we take great pride in the daily ongoing of the school and have been committed to supporting the students and Cathedral’s mission. During these challenging times, Cathedral students continue to be a bright light. The Class of 2020 are ready to take on new challenges and have been accepted to universities across the country. We are proud of the over 620 young men who... are learning and growing in faith. As we have experienced so many challenging moments in a short period of time, we understand that the students and families of Cathedral need our support now more than ever! This is why our Big Ten Scholarship Fundraiser will be critical for our association and students of Cathedral High School. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the way of life for all of us. Yet as an association we have increased our fundraising goal, in order to help more students than in previous years. Our goal is to raise $100,000 through the Big Ten Scholarship Fundraiser, it will be our only fundraiser this year. It is an investment, in Cathedral, our students and their families! Will you help us? Will you help us achieve our goal, by purchasing a Fundraiser ticket or two. We are asking you to invest in the future of the young men that Cathedral helps provide a Catholic college preparatory education. The Alumni Association annually provides over $50,000 a year to support numerous Cathedral events and the scholarship fund. Efforts such as the Brother Gus and Brother Robb awards, contributions to various on campus associations and sports programs. Cathedral High School awarded over $4,000,000 in academic scholarships and need based financial aid in 2019-2020. Without this support 90% of the student body would not be able to be here at Cathedral. Today’s cost represents a much larger portion of our families’ gross income than when we were in school. We are making a special appeal to our loyal and dedicated Cathedral Alumni and friends to increase your support for the Big Ten Scholarship Fundraiser. For those who have supported the fundraiser annually thank you for your past generous support and please consider purchasing multiple fundraiser tickets this year. For the many who have not been aware of the need and have not participated in our annual fundraising efforts, please consider supporting this fundraiser. Thank you for your consideration of this request and thank you in advance for your generous support. Sincerely, Tony Camarena ’85, Alumni President Buy your tickets here: https://www.cathedralalumni.com/the-big-ten
