Did you know that the history of GMC goes back to the year 1909? Forty years after the company was formed as General Motors, this 1949 GMC Suburban was born into production. A beautifully restored fourth-generation suburban shared by Terry in 2019. Accompanied by fellow prizewinner a 1936 Ford Cabriolet shown by Donald. Did you know that the Cabriolet often came with two external rumble seats? #ExpectTurbulence... #CastroValleyCarShow #1949GMCSuburban #1936FordCabriolet See more
That boxy orange boat is the one and only 1955 Chevy Nomad, shown by Ron paired with fellow stand-out of 2018’s Car Show Randy's 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Did you know the Cutlass was named after a sword commonly used by seafaring traders between the mid-16th to the mid-19th century? #TheMoreYouKnow... #CastroValleyCarShow #1955ChevyNomad #1972OldsmobileCutlass See more
Can you hear the Beach Boys? This rare Ford Woodie Wagon from 1947 easily stole the show along with this classic restored 62 Lincoln. Absolutely beautiful restoration job on these by Joe and Dale. #CastroValleyCarShow #1947FordWoodie #1962Lincoln
The 2016 Car Show brought us this happy yellow 1947 Chevy Pick-Up and the raging engine of this 1941 Willy. Gorgeous work on those paint jobs! #CastroValleyCarShow... #1947ChevyPickUp #1941Willy See more
Jump back in time in these incredible specimens. The 2014 winners were this 1957 Chevy and 32 Ford Roadster brought into the Car Show by Russ and Doug respectively. Hard to beat the thought of cruising around in that Chevy! #castrovalleycarshow... #1957Chevy #32FordRoadster See more
These two stunners are enough to make you do a double-take. Try to find another pristine 1930 Model A Pick-Up like Margaret's, we dare you. Gary's 1970 Chevelle is nothing to sneeze at either, a gorgeous specimen with flashy racing stripes and an engine to match! #castrovalleycarshow... #1930modelapickup #1970chevelle See more
This dazzling red-hot duo debuted at the 7th annual car show. Steve's 1967 Camaro and John's 1926 Nash absolutely stole the show. John's Nash brought us back to Castro Valley's bootlegging past. Can you imagine cruising in one of those with prohibition-era liquor hiding under the hood? #CastroValleyCarShow... #1967Camaro #1926Nash See more
These beauties debuted in the 2011 show. Can anyone name the year on this GTO? #castrovalleycarshow #GTO
We love a car with its horsepower on full display. Who can remember this entry from Doug Patterson in 2010? Of course, Frank & Maggie's '58 Orange Impala was a showstopper. Can't wait to show off this year's cars!... #castrovalleycarshow #impala See more

It seems like everyone has a favorite year. Some prefer the early days, but many more talk about how much the car community grew and flourished from the first year's event. Does anyone remember this flaming 1940 Ford? For our second throwback, we've got a nice reminder from the Second Annual Castro Valley Car Show just in time for the 11-day count down to the show! We're a little under two weeks away from our virtual event. Is your car registered yet?... https://castrovalleycarshow.com/

Were you around for our very first car show? We've come a long way since 2006 and it has been a special pleasure to see folks come back with new customizations and techniques year after year. Our community has grown so much in 14 years! We can't wait to show you some of the incredible work we've seen in our submissions already. This virtual show would not be possible without the dedication of our sponsors, who came together to make sure we could host this show at no cost to ...the registrants. Do you have this shirt somewhere in your closet? Send us a picture of your custom car show t-shirt! We'd like to send a huge thank you to Todd Anglin - State Farm Insurance Agent for his consistent support for the Castro Valley Car Show. You can see the full list of sponsors to thank at the bottom of the image and on the Car Show website. Register today at https://castrovalleycarshow.com/ #castrovalleycarshow #supercars

2020 Castro Valley Car Show Canceled We knew it was canceled but it's official as we’re sad to announce that this year's event will no longer be happening. We received the official word Alameda County Public Health Department for this year’s car show we exceed what they feel safe with allowing. With the new requirements though we will still be able to put a couple of get-togethers this summer at the Castro Valley Moose Lodge with some over-sight. ... What I really hope the takeaway from this for all of us is that the County of Alameda and the Castro Valley business community have supported us and the Car Show for over 13 years and there are many ways that we can pay our gratitude forward. Over the next couple of months, I will be sharing items from the CastroValleyToday.com website. The Castro Valley Today project is one of many that are being put in place to help small businesses continue to exist. We built this website to support and to help our community shop, eat, and entertain locally. We have tried to keep this a 100% car-related page but I feel this is important to share with all of you as our car culture is a strong community. Thanks to everyone who has had a chance to attend one of our events and also those in spirit. Ken
