The rain is not stoping is from having a wonderful Memorial Weekend. This fishing is finally picking up folks. If you know where to be lookin then you’re going to be hookin. Okay but seriously look at the big guy this little guy picked up today! Our buddy Tanner Daly, did we mention he’s 7, brought this beautiful 21.5 4.5lbs Rainbow back to the cabins today. He caught it up in town on Markleeville Creek with a white rooster tail.

Happy Mothers Day from your family here at the Carson River Resort! This weekend we had Gayleen Aby and her family take over the resort. The Aby family have been using the Carson River Resort as there annual Mothers Day meet up location for many years now. Last year while they were here they celebrated Five Generations! What a great opening weekend! From us here at Carson River Resort, we could not be more excited for the next few months! The fishing here at the resort has been slow moving. The water temperature is still cold from the snow melting on the top of the mountains, however there was great fishing happening at Indian Creek Reservoir and on the West Carson River. The sun is shining down on us today and a couple fish were caught earlier so hopefully over the next couple weeks the fi...shing will pick up. Warm weather brings great adventure! This past weekend we had the pleasure of meeting the adventurous river rafting group H2O Adventures. They launched for a two day river rafting adventure along the Carson River from campsite 1. Between the snow melting down the mountains and rain showers the river was in great shape to set out on a fun trip with good friends. Our new kayaking trail right out the back door of the cabins. Experience level: Expert Terrain conditions: Down hill, rocky, happens only after days of heavy rain and snow fall. ***This is a joke***... Not that big of a fisher like the rest of your friends??
