Welcome to the first 2020 Carroll Shelby Foundation holiday auction. Rafella and Shelden the Elf handcrafted a fantastic diorama that celebrates Carroll Shelby, the Shelby American team and a prototype Shelby big block car that is often overlooked. The car is a 1969 GT500 known as 0006. It ranks as a very significant and very special Shelby. The car was a factory Prototype/Engineering car, the 6th 1969 Shelby built and the 3rd Convertible. It was assigned to Fred Goodell, ...one of the most famous people in Shelby history, and designated as his company car. It was then believed by SAAC to have helped successfully close the deal for another round of Hertz Shelbys for 1969. Also, it is one of very few original Shelby EFI Development cars and one of even fewer that survive today. This diecast was signed by Carroll Shelby before he passed and the diorama was recently signed by his grandson, CSF board co-President Aaron Shelby. The special display includes a Shelby logo and the limited edition Foundation 2020 holiday ornament. The starting price is $500 for the auction, to honor the car.
