Construction is right on track for the 3rd & A mixed-use building in Downtown San Diego, with the removal of the tower crane last weekend! Designed by Carrier Johnson + CULTURE, the new 21-story tower replaces the building that was previously occupied by our San Diego Design Studio, and will include 4,020 sf of ground-floor retail and 270 residential units with a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom options. Construction for our 5750 Hollywood Boulevard Alta Ink project in Los Angeles is making great progress! The exterior construction-metal panels are currently be installed around the building exterior, and storefront and unit windows installation is nearly complete. Also, interior drywall, millwork and flooring are being installed throughout the building. Construction for the Shoreline Gateway project is on schedule, topping off in late October and due to be completed Summer 2021! Designed collaboratively by CJ+C, Studio One Eleven and Relm, the Shoreline Gateway development is a 35-story residential and mixed-use tower that will be the tallest building in Long Beach. Thank you, Upzone SoCal for highlighting Cisterra’s 9G Tower proposal in an online article. The tower, designed by Carrier Johnson + CULTURE, would be located in San Diego’s East Village and is proposed to be a mixed use development consisting of 241 dwellings, above-grade parking garage levels, and commercial space. The historic façade of the existing structure will remain, while the interior is proposed to be demolished and reconstructed to house a large-scale general merchandise retailer, containing a grocery component.
