Concierge medicine in the news The New York Times recently published an intriguing article titled The Doctor Is In. Co-Pay? $40,000 regarding an elite tier of concierge medicine that is becoming increasingly popular in Silicon Valley. I was delighted to see that the reported benefits time, access and personal attention are exactly what I offer in my new concierge practice, but of course, at a fraction of the cost. The fact is that we all share a mutual passion, as the reporter accurately sums up, for providing the same service as the family doctor did a half-century ago for millions of Americans.
