Our case against Donna Amadeo (also known as Donna McGuire) is in the post-judgment phase, and the Pine Cone has found even more people that have been defrauded. Tax time is done, but it doesn't mean that you can sit back and ignore your taxes until next year. If you are getting a big refund back, you may want to adjust your withholding so that you aren't giving the government a nice, big, tax-free loan. Or, perhaps you need to adjust your estimated payments for the next year. Ana would be happy to sit down with you and make sure your tax planning is appropriate.

Unclean hands is an important affirmative defense to equity causes of action. If you lie on a building permit application in order to expand your encroachment on your neighbor's property (who happens to be our client), don't expect the court to support your claim of an easement by estoppel. Yet another good outcome for our client.

We are back in the news tonight. The Pine Cone tonight brings up the cease and desist letter sent to us by a very green deputy city attorney (thanks to his dad). I am still waiting for a clarification by Michael Laredo (who just passed the bar last year), as to what statements I, or my clients, have made that constitute harassment or cyberbullying. It looks like these accusations have as much validity as the decision by Hearing Officer Murdock. We are still waiting for the apology that the junior Laredo said he would issue after the city wrongfully demanded my client remove her posts from the City of Pacific Grove's facebook page. We're not afraid to fight for what is right. The City of Pacific Grove sent us a letter demanding that our clients stop detailing the corruption in the city. I'm sorry, but the citizens of Pacific Grove have a right to know that Mayor Kampe and Hearing Officer Kim Murdock aren't beneath fixing hearings for their friends. The Pine Cone has included an update on Bruiser the mini-pig (page 10). The city decided that their demand to remove their own emails from the city's Facebook page was made "in error". That is news to us because we were never notified by the City of this error. No apology was offered either for this error in judgment. What would we do without reporters?
