Dear Valued Customer, As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves, we want to assure you that the health and safety of Carini customers, employees, and the community are our top priority. In response to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, we are monitoring its progression and proactively taking preventative measures based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Employee Health and Safety the safety of our customers begins with the ...health and safety procedures of our employees. 1. We are implementing an internal campaign to reinforce preventative measures each of us can take to help limit the spread of COVID-19. This includes employee meetings, flyers posted in high traffic areas, and letters such as this. 2. Requiring all employees who feel ill or show any symptoms of illness to stay at home. 3. We are enabling employees who show any symptoms of illness to work from home remotely 4. Providing disinfectant kits for all employee vehicles that employees can access during the course of their daily activities and take with them into customer homes and businesses where they are working. 5. Along with our regular cleaning routines, an additional level of disinfecting is being done throughout every aspect of our facility, including our offices, warehouse, and company vehicles, We've increased the frequency of our cleaning, with extra emphasis on high-touch areas such as restrooms, meeting rooms and break rooms. Customer Health and Safety These are some of the immediate processes and procedures we will be putting into place for Carini employees working in customer homes and businesses: 1. Along with the regular cleaning routines that we routinely implement in customer homes and businesses, an additional level of disinfecting will be done in working areas at job sites. Both HVAC and plumbing teams will be provided with heavy duty disinfectants that will be used during and after jobs. 2. Just as we will encourage employees showing signs of illness to stay home, we will ask employees who work at customer sites to do the same and to take extra precautions such as wearing facemasks and protective gloves when necessary while working in homes and businesses. As we continue to monitor any changes in guidelines issued by the CDC and/or local public health authorities, we encourage everyone to follow a common-sense approach in helping keep our community safe. Avoid close contact with people who are sick; clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects; wash hands often with soap and water; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; and stay home or keep children home if exhibiting flu-like symptoms. As a parent, one of the most important roles I've been tasked with is to keep my children safe. I take this role very seriously. Because I'm a plumber, I've seen the damage water takes on appliances and water heaters. I can only image what this is doing to our insides. Well, the holiday season has officially begun with the end of Thanksgiving, the official start of the shopping season and the ascent toward the Christmas holidays. Let's continue to remember all the things we're grateful for and spend time on being there for the less fortunate of our neighbors near and far. Today, Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing is grateful to celebrate Voices of our City Choir and all the wonderful things they do to help San Diegan's experiencing homelessness. We are grateful to be a supporter of this amazing organization that brings joy to people through music, and help through a wide variety of services including case management and peer to peer assistance to acquire needed services and care. And we're especially proud that Voices has helped 46 people to get off the street and into housing. Wow, and check out some pics from when the Voices choir auditioned for America's Got Talent!
