Juneteenth is a day of remembrance, action, and celebration for Black lives. #Juneteenth, also known as #EmancipationDay or #FreedomDay, is celebrated annually on June 19th. It’s meant to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States, but like most brief definitions, that’s far from the whole story. Dear EOPS/CARE/CalWORKs & FYSI students these past several days of protest have been heavy on our hearts. It goes without saying that these terrible acts of racism and hate are unacceptable! Here at Fullerton College, we have always fostered an environment of inclusion and acceptance of all people. We want you to know that we all stand with the Black community to support social justice and vocalize equal opportunities. We are here for you if you need to speak to us.
